ZEISS Miracle – exhibition film
From exhibition clip to the big screen
For an exhibition event, the company Carl Zeiss AG, known for the manufacturing of perfect optical lenses, wanted to provide their potential clients with an insight into their production process. We produced a one-minute-long full-cgi animation, featuring several unique and highly technical instruments.
Because for this project no CAD-data of the objects was available, all the instruments actually had to be modeled, shaded and textured from scratch based on supplied photos and blueprints. A task I was mainly responsible for, while my colleagues handled the animation, fluid sims and compositing.
The clip was very well received during the exhibition event and has later been shown on television and in movie theatres throughout India as well.
