OSRAM Industry line – exhibition teaser
Let there be light!
For an upcoming exhibition, Osram needed visual support for the announcement of a new product line of industrial lights and therefore asked my contractor to supply them with a visualization. Since at that time the lights were still in development and consequently live-action footage was not an option, my client suggested a short 3d-animation with me as a partner.
After I had completed the obligatory tasks of cleaning and sorting the supplied CAD-data of the model, I could quickly create and assign matching materials to their counterparts and, after deciding on a clean studio background, render out some close-up shots. Especially important for the client was to show his product’s possibility to continuously change the light temperature from warm to cold light – a task easily solved with Otoy Octane‘s render capabilities.
This being the first project of that kind the manufacturer and agency teamed up for, it was seen as a test if it could be conceivable to produce more 3d product visualizations in the future. A test passed, as we were entrusted with a couple of other productions after that!
