experimental short film – Austrobot
Experimental short film exploring creative ideas during an internship
During my internship at animoto/screencraft entertainment GmbH, I produced this experimental short film with material shot on a company retreat in a small village in Austria. The project allowed me to test the skills I had learned so far and simultaneously bring to life a creative idea I had been thinking about since seeing that parade.
For the animation with a wink I especially minded dealing with every single necessary step of integration of 3d-elements into real-live footage myself: from tracking the camera, the creation and animation of the robot and additional visual effects like smoke to final color-correction and compositing.
I was quite happy with the result and had so much fun producing the little clip, that I could not imagine doing something else for work anymore from now on.
